I teach critical thinking and writing to initially-reluctant community college students in California and New York. Always the Californian, I bring a love of sunshine, bright colors, bomb tacos, beach vibes, and sick mma moves to my classrooms, where I enjoy catching freshmen and showing them how analysis and arguments can open their worlds and their minds.
After class, I write short fiction and nonfiction, and am currently working on a book about survival. I love martial arts and have been training in Shorin-Ryu karate for the last 17 years. I am a third-degree black-belt who also teaches women’s self-defense seminars to college students and professionals near you.
